Criminal Law
Criminal law is the body of laws that governs crimes and their prosecution, including the punishment of offenders.
Criminal law explains the difference between what is legal, illegal, and ethical when it comes to all aspects of a person’s behavior. However, criminal law also concerns itself with prevention of crime and rehabilitation of offenders who are convicted. Criminal acts are acts that are punishable under criminal or penal codes of a given country or jurisdiction–whether they are committed by natural or legal persons.
